Ticketing Fees

slash.fm charges 7% + $0.49 per ticket sold, card processing included. That is the whole price list. There is no setup fee, no monthly subscription, no charge per event, and free tickets and RSVPs cost nothing at all.

By default the buyer pays the slash.fm fee on top of your ticket price, so you net exactly your ticket price and your buyers see one fees line at checkout with nothing hidden inside it. On a $30 ticket that line is $2.59, where Posh charges $3.99, about 35% less. You can switch any event or any tier to absorb fees, in which case the buyer pays the ticket price only and the fee comes out of your side.

Fees are refunded whenever a ticket is refunded. slash.fm does not keep its fee on a cancelled event or a refunded order.

Disputes and chargebacks follow Stripe's rules: the disputed amount is held from your balance while the case is open, and slash.fm attaches the order, scan and device evidence automatically. Volume pricing is available for venues doing more than 5,000 paid tickets a month; use the contact form.

Worked example: a $30 ticket

Ticket price (what you net)$30.00
slash.fm fee (7% + $0.49 per ticket, card processing included)$2.59
Buyer pays$32.59

The same ticket on Posh carries $3.99 in fees, so your buyers pay 35% less in fees here. If you absorb fees, the buyer pays $30.00 and you net $27.41.

FAQ

Is there a fee on free events?
No. Free tickets and RSVPs have no slash.fm fee and no processing fee because no card is charged.
Who pays the card processing?
Nobody separately. Card processing is included in the slash.fm fee, so there is no second line for the buyer and nothing extra deducted from your payout. If you absorb fees, the one slash.fm fee is deducted and that is all.
Can different tiers have different fee settings?
Yes. Fee mode is set per tier, so a VIP tier can absorb fees while general admission passes them on.
