Transfer tickets to a friend

Send a ticket to a friend's phone number or slash.fm username. It moves to their account with a new code, and yours stops working.

A transfer moves a ticket from your account to someone else's. They get a brand-new ticket with its own code, and your code for it stops working. Transfers are free.

Sending a ticket?

Choose Transfer next to the ticket and enter their phone number or slash.fm username.

Transfer a ticket

You'll sign in with your phone number, then go straight there.

Send a ticket

In the slash.fm app

  1. Open the ticket and tap Transfer.
  2. Enter your friend's phone number or slash.fm username.
  3. Check it, then confirm.

On the slash.fm website

  1. Go to My Tickets and choose Transfer next to the ticket.
  2. Choose Phone number or Username and enter theirs.
  3. Choose Next, check the name or number, then Send ticket.

Transfers are instant and final

The ticket is in their account as soon as you send it. You can't cancel a transfer; to get it back, they'd have to send it back to you. Check the number or username before you confirm.

What your friend gets

  • A notification in the slash.fm app, if they have it.
  • An email, if their account has one.
  • A text with a link, if they don't have the slash.fm app. If they don't have an account yet, the ticket waits for them when they sign in with that number.

Why not send a screenshot?

The live code in the app changes every 15 seconds, so a screenshot won't scan. A transfer puts a real ticket on their phone.

Things to know

  • You can send up to 30 tickets a day.
  • Transferring doesn't refund you. Anything between you and your friend is up to you. To sell to someone you don't know, use slash.fm Resale.
  • Listed tickets can't be sent. Remove the resale listing first.
  • Some events limit transfers. See Why can't I transfer my ticket?
