Mobile tickets and live codes

In the slash.fm app your ticket shows a live code that changes every 15 seconds, so a screenshot won't scan. It works with no signal.

Your slash.fm ticket is a QR code tied to your account. In the slash.fm app, the code is live: it changes every 15 seconds. The app shows a countdown to the next code.

Open My Tickets

You'll sign in with your phone number, then go straight there.

What a live code means for you

  • Screenshots don't work. A screenshot shows an old code, and the door scanner reports it as an old code.
  • It works with no signal. Once you've opened your tickets in the app with signal, the app can draw the live code offline. Open them before you head out.
  • Each person needs their own ticket. If you're going with friends, send each of them their ticket so it's on their own phone. See Transfer tickets to a friend.

The code on the slash.fm website

If you open My Tickets on the slash.fm website on your phone, you'll see your ticket's fixed code, which doesn't change. Treat it like a password: anyone who has it could get in before you. Some organizers turn on App codes only, and then the door only accepts the live code in the slash.fm app. If that's the case, the scanner says Open the ticket in the slash.fm app.

Apple Wallet and Google Wallet

slash.fm tickets aren't available as Apple Wallet or Google Wallet passes right now. A wallet pass can't show a code that changes, so your ticket lives in the slash.fm app.

Buying a ticket from someone else

A screenshot or a photo of a code isn't a ticket. Buy on slash.fm Resale, or ask the person to send it to your phone number from slash.fm.
