Going to an event

Age limits and ID

The event page shows whether an event is all ages, 18+ or 21+. The door team checks ID.

Set by the event organizerEach organizer runs their own event. Check the event page or your ticket first, and contact the organizer with questions. slash.fm can't change an organizer's decision.

The organizer sets the age limit: all ages, 18+ or 21+. It's shown on the event page, at checkout and on your ticket.

Questions about an event?

Message the organizer from My Tickets. They answer questions about their event and reply by email.

Contact the organizer

You'll sign in with your phone number, then go straight there.

What ID to bring

The organizer and venue decide which IDs they accept. Most accept a valid, physical driver's license, state ID, passport or military ID. Most don't accept photos of ID, expired IDs or student cards. If you're unsure, ask the organizer before you buy.

The limit applies on the day

You must meet the age limit on the date of the event.

If you're turned away

ID checks are done by the organizer's door team. Because the age limit is shown before you buy, tickets for guests who don't meet it usually aren't refunded. If you think it was a mistake, contact the organizer.

Bought a ticket for someone under the limit?

Ask the organizer for a refund as soon as you can, or sell the ticket on slash.fm Resale if it's on for the event.
