Chargebacks

Disputes happen on your Stripe account. slash.fm attaches proof of entry to the dispute for you to review and submit.

A chargeback is when a buyer asks their bank to reverse a payment. Because payments go to your Stripe account, disputes are handled there.

What slash.fm does

When a dispute opens, slash.fm attaches evidence to it in Stripe: where the ticket's live code was delivered, every scan at the door with staff, device, time and location, and any transfers. It's attached, not submitted, so you can review it and respond in Stripe before the deadline.

Where you see it

The event's Overview counts chargebacks as open, lost or won, and lost ones come out of your net.

How to reduce chargebacks

  • Keep your listing accurate and update it when anything changes.
  • Answer buyers and refund requests well within 7 days.
  • Turn on slash.fm Resale so buyers who can't go have an option.
  • Cancel in slash.fm if the event isn't going ahead.
