Organizing an event

Resale for your event

Turn on slash.fm Resale so fans can sell tickets they can't use on your event page. Choose ticket types and an optional price range.

slash.fm Resale lets your ticket holders sell tickets they can't use to other fans, on your event page. Each resold ticket is reissued, so the seller's code stops working and the buyer gets a new one. Your capacity and sales don't change.

You'll sign in with your phone number, then go straight there.

Turn it on

  1. Open the event in your dashboard on the slash.fm website and go to Resale.
  2. Turn on slash.fm Resale for this event.
  3. For each ticket type, choose whether it can be resold, and set a minimum and maximum price if you want one.
  4. Choose Save resale settings.

Rules

  • Free tickets, approval-only RSVPs and guest list names can't be resold.
  • Resale closes when your event starts.
  • Sellers pay a resale fee, a percentage of their price. It never comes out of your payout.
  • Turning resale off ends active listings. Tickets already resold stay valid.

Why turn it on

  • Buyers who can't go have a safe option, so you get fewer refund requests and chargebacks.
  • Sold-out nights stay full.
  • Fans are less likely to buy fake tickets elsewhere.
