Scanning tickets at the door
Scan with the slash.fm app or the Door scanning tab on the slash.fm website. Scanning works offline once the guest list has downloaded.
Before doors
- Add your door staff with the Door role. See Team roles and permissions.
- Have them install the slash.fm app and sign in with their phone number.
- Open the scanner once with signal. It downloads the night's list so scanning works without signal.
Scanning
In the app, open the event and choose Scan. On the slash.fm website, use the event's Door scanning tab, with the camera or manual lookup.

Open DashboardYou'll sign in with your phone number, then go straight there.

| Let in | The ticket is valid. It's now marked used. |
| Already scanned | Check when it was scanned, and ask for ID. |
| Old code, likely a screenshot | Ask them to open the ticket in the slash.fm app. |
| Open the ticket in the slash.fm app | You turned on App codes only, and they showed the fixed code. |
| Refunded or not valid | Don't admit. The ticket was refunded, sent or sold. |
No phone or a dead battery
Look the guest up by name, check their ID and check them in.
Offline
With no signal, the phone checks codes itself and marks the result as checked offline. Scans upload when signal returns. Review anything flagged in the app's Door log.
Selling at the door
In the app, Sell at door takes payment by Tap to Pay on iPhone and checks the guest in.
If scanning is down for everyone
Use manual lookup, then go to Contact us and choose Scanning isn't working on event day.
